Garden Project

Our garden project is underway! I began researching and planning the idea in August of 2007 after growing tired of the common suburban landscape. There are so many natural wonders in the world and our neighborhood has effectively sterilized any variation down to grass and shrubs. The hope of this garden is to reintroduce diversity of native plant life. This will be a micro environment for butterflies and birds to enjoy during their migratory patterns. It has been a challenging and exciting opportunity for Tammy and I to learn something outside our daily life. We are beginning the project in what we call the south room. It is located on the south side of our property where our guest bedrooms will have a view of the colors and life flying outside. Whenever we have a child, they can experience nature's changes and grow with the garden. This blog is your window to its transformation from a monoculture to a petri dish of life.
